ResComp Logos and Mascots
ResComp uses several distinct logos and icons on our website and publications. These logos have evolved over the years and the current logos (and their predecessors) are below.
Evolution of the ResComp Logo

First ResComp Logo
The ResComp eye logo
was designed around 1995.
The main theme of the
logo is of sight, in
that ResComp provides
a way for our end users
to "see the world" via
the Internet.

Modernized "Eye" Logo
For the 2001-2002 year,
the ResComp eye logo was
encased in a crystal sphere.
However, the "eye" logo
has been found to be
outdated, and the themes
of "seeing the world"
are no longer used.

2005 Logo
In 2005, the ResComp
logo was updated in an
attempt to change our
organization's image to
better reflect our
customer base. The new
power logo is fun and
easily recognizable.

Current ResComp Logo
The current logo depicts
a "power" button on a
stylized residence hall
tower. This logo was
revamped in summer '06
to be more balanced, and
to clearly identify the
underlying symbols.
Be Secure Guy

The Be Secure Guy serves as a mascot for ResComp's Be Secure software pack. At times, he acts a mascot for ResComp as a whole. He stars in several clips of the Cal Connect video, as well as on fliers for ResComp. He is currently illustrated by Jeremy Weinstein, the Lead Marketing Coordinator.
