Staff Directory

The DA team consists of 5 staff members, all dedicated to maintaining a network of 6 Academic Services Centers- one in each unit- serving a total of 8,000 residents. Centers range in size from 15-30 Windows machines and 2-4 Mac clients each, all of which are connected to a Windows-based print and file server.

In order to ensure a consistent user experience in each facility, the DA team maintains base images of Windows and Mac machines -- in theory, residents should be able to go from center to center without a noticeable difference between machines. Most applications used by center patrons are hosted on a central server and streamed to clients, ensuring that application updates can be put into production as fast as possible and that application configurations do not vary from center to center.
