About Hiring at ResComp

Residential Computing is composed of two groups of staff: RCC Staff, who provide front-line technical assistance to residents in the Residence Halls, and Senior Staff, who provide support to the organization as a whole through supervising our RCCs, administering our client and server systems, writing our software, marketing our services, and providing administrative support.

As a student-staffed workforce, we tend to retain only about half of our work force from year to year. As such, we traditionally hold a round of hiring during the middle of the Spring semester. Senior Staff is hired first, after which the RCC hiring process begins. We also tend to have a few open Senior Staff positions at the end of the Fall semester. The best times to check when we are hiring are during those times. We usually do not hire RCCs before the Spring Hiring Cycle, as we usually pick from a pool of past applicants selected as alternates.

To get a better idea of when to check back for open hiring, here is a schedule of our general hiring phases:

If you're interested in working at ResComp, we encourage you to read the Job Descriptions of our positions and visit the RCC Staff Hiring or Senior/RSSP-IT Staff Hiring pages.
